Chapter 11 of the book of 2 Samuel reports the fall of King David, who sinned as he got involved with Bathsheba, wife of Uriah, one of his soldiers. The chapter ends with Joab by winning the battle against Rabá, a victory that David would probably have led if he had not sinned.
