9. And the young man got up, so that he might travel with his wife and servant. And his father-in-law spoke to him again: “Consider that the daylight is declining, and it approaches toward evening. Judges chapter 19 tells the shocking story of a Levite who, traveling with his concubine, decides to spend the night in the city of Gibéia, Benjamin. There they are hosted by an old man, but the city is surrounded by wicked men who require Levite to be delivered so that they can abuse him sexually. Instead, the old man offers his own daughter and Levite's concubine to men, who end up violating and killing the concubine.
