9. And from under these chambers [was] the entry on the east side, as one goeth into them from the utter court.

Hebrews 9:24: "For Christ has not entered a sanctuary made by hands, figure of the real, but in the same heaven, to now appear for us before the face of God;" This verse points to the difference between the physical temple described in Ezekiel 42 and the true heavenly sanctuary that Christ entered, and highlights the importance of the relationship of the physical temple to spiritual reality.
