This verse highlights the purification made by the sacrifice of Christ, which is superior to the purification made by the rituals described in Leviticus.

1 John 1:7: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in light, we have communion with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin."
