Chapter 18 of the Gospel of Matthew addresses themes related to life in community and forgiveness. Jesus teaches about the importance of humility, fraternal correction and mutual forgiveness. He also talks about the importance of treating with love and mercy those who make mistakes.
Colossians 3:13: "endure one another, forgive you each other, if someone has a complaint against others. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so forgive you" this verse highlights the importance of mutual forgiveness and following Christ's example to forgive.
Ephesians 4:32: "Before, beloved seats towards each other, compassionate, forgiving you one another, such as God, in Christ, has forgiven you" this verse also emphasizes the importance of mutual forgiveness and following the example of God to forgive.
Proverbs 17:9: "Anyone who covers an offense seeks love, but who throws it into the face separates good friends." This verse highlights the importance of approaching offenses with love and mercy, rather than clinging to them and destroying relationships.
Romans 12:10: "Love each other cordially with each other with fraternal love, preferring to be in honor of each other." This verse highlights the importance of loving and respecting each other in the Christian community.
