Proverbs 14 is a chapter that talks about wisdom, justice, and the right conduct we must follow in life. In it we find advice on how we should act in the face of adversities and how we should deal with our interpersonal relationships. Next, five verses from different Bible books that relate to the topics addressed in Proverbs 14:
James 1:19: "You know these things, my beloved brothers. Every man, then be ready to hear, late to speak, late to anger." This verse talks about the importance of listening carefully before speaking or acting impulsively, something that is emphasized in Proverbs 14:29, which says, "The Longonnic is great in understanding, but that of hasty mind exalts madness."
Ephesians 4:26: "Iraine and not small; do not put the sun over your wrath." This verse talks about the need to deal with anger properly, without letting it become sin. This relates to Proverbs 14:17, which says, "Which is easily annoyed to make foolishness, but the prudent man covers the affront."
Colossians 4:6: "Your word is always pleasant, seasoned with salt, to know how you should answer each one." Galatians 6:2: "Take each other's charges and thus fulfill the law of Christ." This verse talks about the importance of helping each other in difficult times, something that is emphasized in Proverbs 14:21, which says, "What despises to your neighbor sins, but what is shaken by the humble is blessed."
