2. And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, [and] over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Exodus 15:1: "Then Moses sang and the children of Israel this song to the Lord, and spoke, saying, I will sing to the Lord, because he was extolled; he threw his horse into the sea and his knight." This verse talks about a song of victory that is sung after the destruction of God's enemies. In Revelation 15:3, John sees the winners about the beast singing a similar song.
