9. and your survivors will remember me among the nations where they are held captive, since I shall have broken their adulterous hearts for having deserted me, and destroyed their eyes for having turned adulterously towards their foul idols. " This verse describes the idolatry of the people of Israel and how they have moved away from God's commandments. 1 Kings 18:21: "Then Elijah has come to all the people, and said, How long shall shall you be between two thoughts? If the Lord is God, follow him; and if Baal, follow him. . " This verse is part of the story of Elijah confronting Baal's prophets.
