72. The priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple slaves, and all Israel took up residence in their cities.

Nehemiah 7 reports the organization of the people after the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah is in charge of selecting leaders and establishing a genealogical record of the people who returned from Babylonian exile.
