Nehemiah 7 reports the organization of the people after the reconstruction of the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah is in charge of selecting leaders and establishing a genealogical record of the people who returned from Babylonian exile. Nehemiah 7:3: "And I said unto them, Do not open the doors of Jerusalem until the sun is hot, and while the porters are still there, lock the doors and lock them while they are still in Guard.
