1. Now of the things which we have spoken, this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of majesty in the heavens,

This new covenant is superior to the old covenant established with Israel.

Hebrews 9:15: "Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant so that those who are called receive the promise of eternal inheritance, since he died as a rescue by transgressions committed under the first covenant." This verse points out that the death of Jesus Christ was the price paid to establish the new covenant and fulfill divine promises. Through it, those who are called can receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
