29. 'Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

St. Matthew 24 is known as the "Mount of Olives Speech", in which Jesus talks about the signs of the end times and his return. He describes the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, wars, fames, earthquakes, persecution and the spread of the gospel all over the world. Mark 13:7: "But when you hear from wars and rumors of war, you are not scary; it is necessary to happen, but it is not yet the end." Jesus talks about the wars and conflicts that will occur before the end of time, but warns that they are not an immediate sign of the end.
