12. Therefore, David said to Uriah, “Even so, remain here today, and tomorrow I will send you away.” So Uriah remained in Jerusalem, on that day and the next.

Chapter 11 of the book of 2 Samuel reports the fall of King David, who sinned as he got involved with Bathsheba, wife of Uriah, one of his soldiers. And the Lord loved him. " David house with Bathsheba and their son, Solomon, becomes the future king of Israel.

2 Samuel 12:26-27: "Joab jumped against Rabá of the sons of Ammon and took the royal city. Then Joab sent messengers to David, saying: I fought against Rabá and took the waters of the city." The chapter ends with Joab by winning the battle against Rabá, a victory that David would probably have led if he had not sinned.
