Chapter 2 of the Book of Hosea addresses the relationship between God and Israel, comparing it with a marriage in crisis. This verse talks about God's love for his people and his joy in seeing them restored to him. This relates to the theme of Hosea 2 about the restoration of God's relationship with Israel.
