Jeremiah 41 describes the murder of Gedaliah, the governor appointed by the Babylonians to govern the remnant of Judah after the fall of Jerusalem. Ishmael, a royal descendant, forest gedalia and many other Jews and Babylonians who were with him. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter:

This verse is spoken by Jeremiah to the Jews who wanted to escape to Egypt after the murder of Gedaliah.
