Chapter 11 of the Judges Book tells the story of Jephtha, a brave warrior who was chosen as leader of his people in a time of conflict and oppression. Unfortunately, this person ends up being his own daughter, and Jephtter finds himself facing a terrible choice.

Judges 11:30-31: "Jephtter made a vow to the Lord: 'If you surrender the ammonitous in my hands, whatever the first person leaving the door of my house to receive me when I return in triumph, that person will belong to Lord and I will offer her in Holocaust '. " These verses introduce the vote of Jephthah and the tragedy he will eventually cause.
