11. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and magicians, and they, too, the magicians of Egypt, did the same by means of their secret arts.

Exodus 7:25 - "And seven days passed after the Lord wounded the river." This verse marks the end of the first plague, and shows how God's pests were progressively getting worse and lasting longer, intensifying the pressure on Pharaoh to release the Hebrews.
