Ezekiel 29 contains a message of judgment against Pharaoh and Egypt because they have opposed to God's people. Isaiah 31:1: "Woe to those who come down to Egypt to seek help, and estimate in horses; and have confidence in cars, because they are many; and in the knights, because they are very powerful; and do not pay attention to the saint of Israel, and They do not seek the Lord! " This verse warns God's people against seeking help in Egypt rather than trusting God. The judgment message in Ezekiel 29 is a direct consequence of this lack of confidence in God.
Exodus 7:5: "And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord, when he extend my hand over Egypt, and take the children of Israel out of them." God promises to free the children of Israel from Egypt and show His power over the gods of Egypt. The judgment message in Ezekiel 29 is a fulfillment of this promise.
Isaiah 19:1: "Weight of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rides on a slight cloud, and enters Egypt; and the idols of Egypt shall shake before him, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt among them." Hosea 9:3: "They shall not dwell in the land of the Lord, but shall return to Egypt, and will eat in Assyria impure food."
