9. I rescued you from the power of the Egyptians and from the power of all who oppressed you. I drove them out before you and gave their country to you.

'"This verse speaks of the importance of trusting God in times of difficulty. David trusted God to defeat Goliath, and Gideon also trusted God to lead the Israelites against the Midianites. Both men believed that God was with them and could do great things through Him.
