11. He armed each of them not so much with confidence in shields and spears as with the inspiration of brave words, and he cheered them all by relating a dream, a sort of vision, which was worthy of belief.

1 Corinthians 15:57: "But thank God who gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." Judas and his men recognize that victory is possible only through God, and thank him for giving them victory.

2 Timothy 4:7: "I fought the good fight, I finished my career, I kept the faith." Judas and his men bravely fight the final battle, trusting God to protect them and, in the end, can overcome the good fight.
