Exodus 33 describes the continuation of Moses's relationship with God after the idolatry of the golden calf. In this chapter Moses asks God to accompany him and guide the people of Israel on the journey to the promised land, and God promises that His presence will go with them. Exodus 33:14, "He said, My presence will with you, and I will give you rest." This verse shows God's promise to Moses that his presence will accompany him on the journey with the people of Israel. This shows the importance of God's presence to Moses and the people.
Deuteronomy 31:8: "The Lord, for it is the one who goes before you; He will be with you, will not let you, nor will you forsaken you; Here we see God's promise to Joshua, successor of Moses, that his presence will go with him in the leadership of the people. Deuteronomy 31:23: "And he gave order to Joshua, the son of Num, saying, Strive and have good cheer, because thou shalt make the children of Israel into the land that I have sworn to them; and I will be with you." Psalm 23:4: "Although I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no harm, because you are with me; your stick and your staff comfort me."
