Chapter 4 of 2 Kings tells several stories related to Elisha, Elijah's successor. Matthew 10:8: "Pen the sick, resurrect the dead, purify the lepers, kick the demons. You received it for free; This verse talks about the miracles that Jesus commanded his disciples to do, including the resurrection of the dead, a miracle that Elisha performs in 2 Kings 4:18-37.
James 5:14-15: "Any of you is sick? Call the elders of the Church, pray upon him and join with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord will raise him. Sins, they will be forgiven. " This verse talks about how oil prayer and anointing can bring healing and forgiveness of sins, as it happens when Elisha heals the poisoned pan in 2 kings 4:38-41.
Romans 8:28: "And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, those who are called according to their purpose." This verse talks about how God can use difficult situations for our good, a theme present in 2 Kings 4:1-7, where the widow who had no money to pay her debts is miraculously helped by God through Elisha.
2 Corinthians 12:9: "But he said to me, 'My grace is enough for you, for my power is perfected in weakness.' Therefore, I will gloriously glory in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can rest on me." This verse talks about how God's grace is sufficient for us in our weaknesses, a theme present in 2 Kings 4:38-41, where Elisha uses an unusual method (flour) to heal the poisoned pan, showing that God can use means unexpected to perform their miracles.
