1. All those under the yoke of slavery must have unqualified respect for their masters, so that the name of God and our teaching are not brought into disrepute.

This verse reinforces the message of 2 Timothy 2:22 and highlights the importance of maintaining a life of righteousness and holiness, rather than being led by carnal desires.
