Chapter 3 of the book of Revelation brings the messages of Jesus to the churches of Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodiceia. Jesus praises the Church of Philadelphia for his faithfulness and urges the churches of Sardis and Laodiceia to repent and return to him. The five verses related to the topics covered in Revelation 3 are:
2 Corinthians 6:17-18: "Therefore, I left their midst and separate, say the Lord; shall not touch impure things; and I will receive you; says the almighty Lord. " This verse relates to Jesus' exhortation to the churches of Sardis and laodice to repent and move away from impurity.
Proverbs 3:11-12: "Do not despise, my son, the correction of the Lord, nor is discouraged when he is rebuked by him. 1 Corinthians 15:58: "Therefore, my beloved brothers, firm, unshakable, and always abundant thirst in the Lord's work, knowing that your work is not go to the Lord." 2 Peter 3:9: "Do not slow the Lord his promise, as some judge her time consuming; on the contrary, he is long to us, not wanting none to perish, but everyone comes to repentance."
