2. And he saw a well in a field, and also three flocks of sheep reclining near it. For the animals were watered from it, and its mouth was closed with a great stone.

Genesis 29 reports Jacob's arrival in the land of Padon-wagon, where he finds his parentela and meets Rachel, who falls in love. He then works for seven years to marry her, but is deceived by Laban, who gives him Lia instead of Rachel. Jacob then works for another seven years to marry Rachel.
