38. Please allow me to return to my own city where I may die and be buried near the graves of my father and mother. But let this my son Kimham, your servant, continue with my lord the king. You can do for him whatever it may please you.

2 Samuel 19 describes David's restoration as king of Israel after Absalom's death.
