Ephesians, 5

5. Be sure of this, that no fornicator or impure man, or one who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Chapter 5 of Ephesians deals with Christian conduct in relation to love, purity and submission. Paul emphasizes the importance of following Christ's example and being full of the Holy Spirit, avoiding sexual immorality, corrupted words and impure attitudes. Proverbs 10:19: "Not much to speak is not lacking transgression, but what moderates the lips is prudent." Peter also instructs the husbands to be loving and respectful with their wives, something Paul addresses in Ephesians 5:25-33.

1 Thessalonians 5:23: "And the same God of peace sanctifies you in everything; and all your Spirit, and soul, and body be fully dismantled for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." This verse highlights the importance of sanctification and purity, themes that Paul also emphasizes in Ephesians 5:3-14.

Romans 12:5: "So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, but individually we are members of each other." Paul urges Christians in Ephesians 5:21 to subject each other in the fear of Christ, recognizing that they are all members of the same body. This verse in Romans 12 also emphasizes the unity of the body of Christ, which is composed of many different members.
