6. Therefore, listen to my correction, and pay attention to the judgment of my lips.

Job chapter 13 is one of the most dramatic of the book, where Job responds to his friends who accuse him of having committed some sin that would justify his afflictions. Job defends his innocence and even accuses God of oppressing the righteous. The selected verses are related to topics such as justice, faith, redemption and hope in God:

Psalm 119:75: "I know, O Lord, that your judgments are righteous, and that with faithfulness afflicted me." This verse talks about God's righteousness and how he uses afflictions to teach and shape us.

Hebrews 11:1: "Now, faith is the firm foundation of things that are expected, and proof of things that are not seen." Job is an example of unshakable faith in the midst of difficulties, even without understanding the purpose of their afflictions.

Romans 5:3-5: "And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, experience; and experience, hope.
