Deuteronomy 12:31: "Do not do, therefore, thus to the Lord, your God; for every abominable thing that the Lord bored did them to their gods; for even their children and their daughters burned in fire to their gods." " This verse talks about how evil and apostasy have bitter consequences. Ahaz reaped the fruits of his disobedience and lack of fear to the Lord.

Hosea 8:7: "For they have sown winds, and will searches storm; This verse talks about how those who plant seeds of evil will harvest the storm. Ahaz planted seeds of idolatry and alliances with pagan nations, and this resulted in torment to his people.
