16. Solomon had all charges prepared, from the day that he founded the house of the Lord, until the day wherein he finished it.
2 Chronicles 8 reports how Solomon built several cities and fortresses, as well as establishing commercial routes and taxes for the Kingdom of Israel. He also built a palace for himself and one for Pharaoh's daughter, who became his wife. Here are five verses related to the topics covered in 2 Chronicles 8:
1 Kings 9:10-11: "After twenty years, in which Solomon built the two houses, namely the house of the Lord and the house of the king, Hiram, king of Tire, provided the Solomon Madeira de Cedro and of Pine and gold, according to all his desire, then, gave King Solomon to twenty cities in the land of Galilee. " This verse talks about the agreement between Solomon and King Hiram to provide wood and gold for the construction of the temple and the palace, as well as the donation of cities by Solomon to Hiram.
