Chapter 14 of the book of 1 kings speaks about God's judgment about King Jeroboam of Israel, who had sinned and led the people of Israel to sin as well. The chapter describes how Jeroboam lost his son and his wife, as well as being warned that his dynasty would be destroyed because of his disobedience.
2 Chronicles 13:6: "But Jeroboam, son of Nate, Servant of Solomon, son of David, rose and rebelled against his Lord." This verse mentions Jeroboam, the main focus of chapter 14 of 1 kings, and how he rebelled against King Solomon.
1 Kings 12:28: "And after consulting, he made two golden calves and said to the people, 'Enough of climbing Jerusalem. Here are their gods, O Israel, who took him out of Egypt.' This verse talks about Jeroboam's sin to create gold calves for worship in Bethel and dã, leading the people of Israel to sin.
1 Kings 13:33-34: "After this, Jeroboam did not deviate from his evil way, but again made priests to the high places among the people in general; whom he wanted, consecrated to be priests of the high places. This was the cause of sin to Jeroboam's house to extir her and destroy her from the face of the earth. " These verses describe how Jeroboam continued in his bad way, creating priests to the high places and leading his people to sin, resulting in divine punishment over the Jeroboam dynasty.
