5. Yahweh his God let the King of the Aramaeans defeat him and take great numbers of his people captive, carrying them off to Damascus. He was also delivered into the power of the king of Israel, who defeated him.

Hosea 8:7: "For they have sown winds, and will searches storm; This verse talks about how those who plant seeds of evil will harvest the storm. Ahaz planted seeds of idolatry and alliances with pagan nations, and this resulted in torment to his people.
