3. Another angel came and stood before the altar of incense with a golden censer. He was given much incense to be offered with the prayers of all the holy ones, on the golden altar before the throne;

Revelation 8 describes the opening of the seventh seal and the beginning of the seven trumpets, which are divine judgments that bring destruction to the earth. Following are five Bible verses that relate to the topics addressed in Revelation 8:

Jeremiah 25:30-31: "I will therefore announce at high voices to all the peoples of the world:" The Lord comes to judge! Amos 5:18-20: "Woe to those who desire the day of the Lord! What benefit will be for you on that day? It will be a day of darkness, not of light. The day of the Lord will be dark and not light, a day of dense clouds and darkness.
