" David calls for God for protection in the face of the threat represented by Absalom and his followers.

Psalm 63:1: "O God, you are my God; I will soon seek you; my soul is thirsty for you; my flesh desires you a lot in a tired dry land where there is no water." This psalm expresses David's devotion to God, even in the face of the difficulties faced in Absalom's escape.
