St. Matthew 24 is known as the "Mount of Olives Speech", in which Jesus talks about the signs of the end times and his return. He describes the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, wars, fames, earthquakes, persecution and the spread of the gospel all over the world. Revelation 22:20: "He who testifies these things says, Certainly, I come without delay. Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" The book of Revelation ends with an appeal to the coming of Jesus, whom Christians await to come and reign in glory.
