Psalm 105 is a song of praise that recalls God's wonders in favor of his people, from the choice of Abraham to the conquest of the promised land. Genesis 12:2-3: "I will make a great nation; I will bless you and enhance your name; and you, be a blessing. Exodus 6:6-7: "Therefore, say to the children of Israel, I am the Lord. I shall take you through my people, and shall be your God; and you will know that I am the Lord your God, that I will take away from the charges of the Egyptians. Isaiah 43:2: "When passing through the waters, I will be with you, and when through the rivers, they will not submerge you; when you pass through fire, you will not burn you, nor the flame will burn in you." This verse speaks of God's faithfulness to protect his people in all situations, just as He did in leading Israel through the desert and in conquering the promised land.
