Deuteronomy 1:26: "But you refused to rise; you rebelled against the order of the Lord, your God." This verse shows the disobedience of the people of Israel, who refused to trust God and to take possession of the land of Canaan.

Joshua 1:9: "Did I not have ordered you? Be strong and brave! Do not terminate, nor be discouraged, for the Lord, your God, will be with you where you walk." Joshua 14:12: "Now give me this mountainous region that the Lord promised me that day. " In this verse, Caleb, one of the spies they trusted in God and encouraged the people of Israel to invade Canaan, resembles Joshua of God's promise and reaffirms their faith in divine help to conquer the earth.
